Tower of Dream is a piece of sculpture, displayed in the courtyard of Yunping Building. Using human form symbols as its building blocks, the work is assembled in a modern style to form a tower-like sculpture. The outline of this artwork has vertical lines alternating with wave-like curves. Its shape extends upward in a rhythmic fashion. Space and mass reciprocally emphasize each other. The mirror surface reflects and distorts the objects in its surroundings to create a visual hallucination, which achieves the expansion of the mass and the profound assimilation of the artwork. Stainless steel is the primary material with a variety of finishes: coarse, patterned, random, and mirror, giving warmth to the work. The university focuses on studying higher level of knowledge and skill, nurturing holistic individual characteristics, and developing new vision in life; it is the starting point of a dream. Therefore this artwork is named Tower of Dream.
