In Chinese compassion is a Buddhist term by combining mercy and sorrow. “Mercy” means kind and loving, and “sorrow” has meanings of compassion, grief, and sorrow. The creator uses irregular rocks to carve expanded hands similar to showing respect to Buddha as well as overlapping feet with the meaning of compassion.
