The Butterfly Dance features vibrant colors and intense visual elements that cast its own strength of self-awareness and delicate emotions onto spectators through an ambience of paradox and ambiguity in which the visual elements are condensed. Lin Ying-Yu mentions in his recount: “in the realm of mysterious and unknown subconsciousness, intercourse between reality and illusion is taking place…” Spectators can see in his paintings human desires, expressions of religious and commercial rites, re-expansion of cold technology, opposition between the human and Nature, and opposition between different social ideologies; coldly he observes and then records in the form of painting.
