The serial works of Taiwan’s Panorama are created with Taiwanese scenes and objects as their main body of creation. Such approach is the concept T.J. Chiang has insisted on for many years, and also is an awakening of humanistic culture. The series include the inclusiveness of human beings, admiration of the nature, and intention and care toward the society. The works are shot by the panorama file-style camera with 146-degree swing lens and present single particular color or element through the integration of traditional negatives and digital technology with the support of scanners and Photoshop software. In a traditional photographic theory, every element shot in a piece of work can't be randomly deleted, added or reduced; however, as the technology advances and the concept changes, the combination of digital and computer software is adopted in photography to make originally impossible images in real situation become possible through the change of computer software. As a result, Professor Chiang thinks that the modern photography is the hybrid of “art” and “science”, and it is exactly the demonstration of art achieved through his theoretical analyses and practical experiences for many years.
