郭文嵐   Kuo, Winland   1941~

Born in Tainan City, Taiwan, 1941, Kuo, Winland entered the sculpture studio of Chang, Chen, the art teacher in National Tainan Second Senior High School, in 1958. He received the Design Award of Golden Hand Award of Ten Outstanding Young Persons in 1965, worked in Taiping Advertisement Art and Design in 1969, and received Advertisement design awards several times. In 1984, he held the first individual exhibition in American Cultural Center and Nan Gallery in Taiwan. He is currently the archive member of Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts as well as the juror of National Culture and Arts Foundation. An expert at copper sculptures, Kuo has created numerous works with symbolic meanings.
